Abe is in the Philippines for a two-day official visit, according to Philippine Star.
Japan and the Philippines are known to be in close partnership together, with Japan recently donating patrol ships to the Philippine Coast Guard for military and national defense.
The prime minister was not only slated to meet the president, but other business groups in Makati and Davao City as well. Other than that, Duterte was also able to invite the prime minister inside his residence in Davao, where he toured Abe around the house.
As found in News5's official Facebook page, Abe was seen inside the president's bedroom, where Duterte was able to show him his bed and even his favorite mosquito net.
The mosquito net or the "kulambo" is part of Philippine culture, people use it to protect themselves from mosquito bites during nighttime.
A picture of Abe sitting in Duterte's dining table can also be seen. The prime minister appeared to be amicably chatting with the president.
